One of the most beautiful nights each year at Westminster is our Christmas Eve Candlelit Service.
(Scroll down for a video.)
It’s a warm, inviting, joyful evening when we sing our favorite carols, pray, read the story of the birth of Christ, enjoy special music by our choir, and hear a message of hope.
We will also pass out candles to everyone as they enter. These represent the light of Christ. Toward the end of the service, we will turn the lights down, and light our candles, while we sing a few carols, including Silent Night, in the dark.
We’ll also have a financial offering and give 100% of it away. The money will be used to help send kids to church-sponsored summer camps.
You don’t want to miss this night.
(Please note that this year we’re also having a second, earlier service: A (Super) Family-Friendly Christmas Eve from 5:30 to 6:05pm. You can read about it here.)
These days, Christmas can be a rush. So it’s essential to remember what it’s all about on Christmas Eve, worship, and praise the newborn King!
Join in. You’ll be very glad you did.
