This year we’re excited to invite you to A (Super) Family-Friendly Christmas Eve at Westminster.
(Scroll down for a video.)
It will take place from 5:30pm to 6:05pm.
Why? We’re doing this because it’s really hard for people with young children to be at a 7pm service on Christmas Eve, especially with family events and early bedtimes.
So we’ll gather at 5:30pm for a 35 minute service for the whole family. Or for anyone!
We will sing many of our favorite Christmas Carols and enjoy the message of the meaning of Christmas in the form of a fun puppet show.
At Westminster, people love it when we turn down the lights and sing some carols (including Silent Night) in the dark. But since we want to be safe with all the little ones, we’ll do it with battery-powered tea lights instead! (They’ll be handed out as you come in the door.)
We’ll also have a financial offering and give 100% of it away. The money will be used to help send kids to church-sponsored summer camps.
Our traditional candlelit service remains at 7pm. You can read more about that here.
Have you found that it’s tricky to go to church on Christmas Eve with little ones? And you haven’t been able to do it? Well, now you can!
Come on out to our not-so Silent Night!
