On Sunday, December 17th, the Westminster Presbyterian Choir will present “Were You There on That Christmas Night?” This is our anticipated annual Cantata.
This is a Christmas musical by Lloyd Larson built around Natalie Sleeth’s popular anthem “Were You There on That Christmas Night”, and also features other traditional and contemporary songs including “All is Well” and “Welcome to our World”.
Our choir has welcomed additional singers from the congregation to make this an extra special presentation. “It was a holy night that first Christmas night; a night like none other before or since. Come, let us worship and adore the Christ of Christmas.”
The main part of our Sunday service will be this musical presentation. It features an expanded Westminster Choir which includes many people from our congregation.
Plus, the congregation will be invited to join in on the singing of several Christmas favorites.
It is also “White Gift Sunday.” What that means is that you’re invited to bring in donations for the Barrie Food Bank. The name comes from a tradition of bringing your gifts wrapped in white. You can certainly do that if you’d like; but it’s not necessary. We just appreciate your generosity and willingness to bless others at this important time of year.
There will be nursery and Sunday School.
Ensure to mark this special Sunday on your calendar as we anticipate the birth of Jesus, the Saviour of the World.
