On December 18th at Westminster, we’ll host our popular Christmas Cantata.
This year’s offering is called “Bethlehem Morning.” Here’s a description:
“Bethlehem.” We merely say the name and our minds are flooded with images. We may never have been there, but it’s our backdrop for the story of Christmas year after year. Bethlehem Morning tells the miraculous story of Christmas through traditional carols and Christmas favorites, but also reminds us that the story of God’s love didn’t stop there. 1 John 4:10 says, “This is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” Jesus came for us when He was born in Bethlehem, and it was for us He went to Calvary.
Join the Christmas celebration with the Westminster Choir as they present “Bethlehem Morning.”
The main part of our Sunday service will be this musical presentation. It features an expanded Westminster Choir which includes many people from our congregation.
Plus, the congregation will be invited to join in on the singing of several Christmas favorites.
It is also “White Gift Sunday.” What that means is that you’re invited to bring in donations for the Barrie Food Bank. The name comes from a tradition of bringing your gifts wrapped in white. You can certainly do that if you’d like; but it’s not necessary. We just appreciate your generosity and willingness to bless others at this important time of year.
There will be nursery and Sunday School.
Ensure to mark this special Sunday on your calendar as we anticipate the birth of Jesus, the Saviour of the World.
