On Sunday, December 3rd we celebrate the first Sunday in Advent! This is the 4-week period leading up to Christmas–the birth of Christ.
We will light the first candle of Advent, the candle of hope.
The nursery and Sunday School will be open.
And in the service we’ll sing, praise, pray, learn and encourage one another!
During the message, our pastor will share part 2 in a mini-series called “A Servant Christmas – How the birth of a servant Saviour can make your Christmas more meaningful.” (To read a full description click here.)
We will also celebrate the Sacrament of Communion (sometimes called The Lord’s Supper).
During the service there will also be a special financial appeal for the Deacon’s Fund. This is something we do every time we celebrate Communion. It’s a fund that we build up to help those struggling financially both inside and outside the congregation.
After the service, we will have an election of three new elders in the church library.
Join in. You’ll be glad you did. Advent begins!
