On Sunday, May 13th at 10:01am we gather to worship our generous and amazing God!
It’s Mother’s Day! – so we will give a carnation to every lady in the congregation as they come in, and we will be blessed by the annual Men’s Chorus (so that the ladies can have a break).
The nursery and Sunday School will be open. And during the kids’ time, the pastor and youth coordinator will introduce May’s Orange Idea — an idea to help individuals and families live out their faith in the home.
During the sermon, our pastor will start a series of messages called “Simplify – How to simplify your life for God’s glory and your sanity.” Here’s what he says about it: “Life can get crazy! And that’s true no matter how old or young you are. Recently I was talking to a high school student who said they were having trouble keeping their life organized and sane. Then I spoke with a retired person who said they wished they were working again so that they could get a rest! Unfortunately, many people lives have been hijacked by people, priorities and purposes that are of secondary importance. And the simple-but-problematic truth is that many of us struggle with layers of complexity that have somehow crept into our existence. So wouldn’t it be great if we could be helped by biblical principles which simplify our lives? That’s the plan. The result can be a simplified life for God’s glory and your sanity.”
Join in. It will be a great Sunday to worship God together!
