On Sunday, November 4 we gather at 10:01am to worship and honour the Lord! (Here it is via Google Maps.) And remember that the clocks ‘fall back’ an hour late on Saturday night!
There will be the full Sunday School program and nursery. We’ll sing, pray and encourage one another. That’s always such an uplifting part of our experience together.
We will have a ‘toiletries’ drive for the David Busby Street Centre. These are ‘high demand’ items and are helpful for people trying to survive and get ahead in the midst of difficult situations. Would you consider choosing some items to bring in? – Here’s the list: Male & female razors; Deodorant; Shampoo & conditioner samples; Toothbrushes, toothpaste & floss; Feminine hygiene products; Hair ties, combs, brushes; Shaving cream; Toilet paper, paper towels; Lip gloss. Just bring in some items and put them in the baskets at either door.
We will also officially welcome and commission our new Coordinator of Congregational Life, Kim Sanderson, into her new role. We’re really excited about that; Kim is going to be such a wonderful addition to our team.
During the service, Rev. Ruttan will open the Bible and teach us about the “good news.” The question is is this: Why is the good news good for you? The “good news” (a phrase which is also translated as “gospel”) is thrown around a lot in Christianity. And do you know what? A lot of people either misunderstand it, or think a part of the good news is the whole good news. So we’ll look at how three dimensions of the life-changing good news are good for you specifically in your life today.
Join in, and let’s be a part of something stronger together…
