On Sunday, September 2nd, we gather to worship the living and true God!
Nursery care will be available, and the Sunday School will be open.
Pastor Ruttan will be back from vacation and will lead us in worship and prayer. His message will be called “Alt Right? Alt Left? — and Jesus.” Here’s the gist. In some ways, we live in polarizing times. There is conflict and confusion. Different “sides” can be presented for various issues, and it’s easy to get swept away in rhetoric and stereotyping. So on Sunday we’ll look at what advice the Bible might offer as we try to make sense of the news and information swirling around us in a more Christ-centred way. It impacts not only how you think, but how you interact with others in a more productive (and biblical) way.
At Westminster, our worship style is “blended,” meaning we sing some modern praise songs (like “In Christ Alone” or “Shout to the North”) and also some traditional hymns (like “How Great Thou Art” or “Amazing Grace”). We think of ourselves as relaxed-but-reverent. Some people wear t-shirts, some wear ties. Whoever you are, come knowing that you are loved, that you are invited to love others, and that we are all on a journey. To see a 1-minute YouTube video about us click here.
Let’s honour God together with prayer, worship, singing, learning and mutual encouragement!
