In Reformed Protestant churches like Westminster, we celebrate two Sacraments -- Baptism and Communion (also called The Lord's Supper).
Baptism is commanded by Jesus and symbolizes our union with God; it is a sharing in the death and resurrection of Christ; it symbolizes the forgiveness of sin; it signifies the gift of the Holy Spirit; and it is a sign and seal of the covenant of grace, administered to adults, or to their children when at least one parent is a believer.
Pastor Ruttan has put together a blog podcast and podcast providing more background about it's meaning. You can access it by clicking here.
