October 1st is World Communion Sunday. Churches around the world celebrate this Sacrament, recall Jesus’ words to “do this in remembrance of me,” and are nourished in the Lord. (Please see separate announcement about the process, the special offering for the Deacon’s Fund, and our process involving children.)
Pastor Ruttan will take a slight detour from the current sermon series to teach about the meaning of Communion itself (1 Corinthians 11:17-34). The Lord’s Supper is so very important to us. But why do we do what we do? How has it been used or abused? And how does God nourish us through it?
We sing, pray, learn, have fellowship and grow. There will be Sunday School and nursery care.
