This Sunday, June 13th we praise the Lord (online) at 10:01am! Pastor Ruttan will also provide an updated re-opening plan from our elders in light of the Ontario's government's recently announcements. We will sing praise songs and hymns to God, lift up many prayer concerns, and learn a new faith-at-home focus. Our message will actually be in the form of several video testimonies from participants in our small groups! We will also have our Q and A forum after the service.  As a part of that Pastor Ruttan and elder Cathy Clark will provide an update about the recent General Assembly of The Presbyterian Church in Canada. On Sunday, June 20th, 2021 we worship the living God! As announced last week, we will worship via our YouTube live stream, AND there will be a limited re-opening. For the full announcement click here. In Stage 1 of the Ontario government's plan, we are able to accommodate 15% of our capacity but ensuring physical distancing measures. The priority group is those without internet and those who live alone. (Pre-registration is required.) Should you (or someone you know) fall into one of these categories and have not been called by Wednesday, contact the office at 705-728-0541. The service itself will include singing, prayer, a thank you to fathers, a new faith-at-home focus, and God's word from Acts 5:17-42. Join us online via YouTube at 10:01 a.m.

This Sunday (June 27) is our annual Canada Day service (always held the first Sunday before July 1). We will continue with our limited re-opening (with priority given to those who don't have internet or who live alone; pre-registration required), and with our live-stream on YouTube. Pastor Ruttan will be joined by Laura Ruttan who will present this year's Sunday School certificates (virtually), and Julie Cunha who will lead and acknowledge our many grade 8 and high school graduates! We will sing several songs and hymns and pray together. It is a slightly shorter service with no full sermon, but we will include Psalm 85 and a vision for a Canada which seeks to be truly good. This Sunday we honour God with worship at 10:01am. Pastor Ruttan will focus on the powerful story of the martyrdom of Stephen in Acts 7, and how God never wastes faithfulness -- then or now, even if we can't always see the results. Pastor Ruttan will focus on Acts 14:8-20 and how nature and God's creation reveals God's goodness toward us, and can also be a starting point when speaking to others about the goodness of God in all of our lives. On Sunday, July 18th we worship God as his children. We continue with our YouTube live-stream, and also with the limited in-person gathering (by pre-registration).   Pastor Ruttan will take a break from Acts to focus us on avoiding the post-pandemic crash. How can we re-emerge from a pandemic in a way that is faithful and healthy, especially in a season which will be more uncertain than people anticipate, and when many people are, well... not doing very well. Among other things, we need to be deliberate about our spiritual practices. On Sunday, July 25 at 10:01am EST we worship on the live-stream (and with a limited in-person group; pre-registration necessary). There will be lots of singing! The Scripture is Acts 16:16-34 where we learn about Paul and Silas singing to God WHILE IN PRISON. Not only do hymns and songs of faith buoy us, but they are a powerful witness and teaching tool to and for others. On Sunday, August 1st at 10:01am EST we worship on the live-stream (and with a limited in-person group; pre-registration necessary). Pastor Ruttan continues our journey through Acts and Paul’s famous speech in Athens where his teachings are called “strange.” And yet, he is effective. Have you ever been called strange for your faith? What if that wasn’t such a bad thing? We will sing to God’s glory, pray together, learn a new memory verse, and have an update with our journey through the New City Catechism. We honour the Lord as his people.

On Sunday, August 8th we worship at 10:01am (EST) via YouTube, and also with our limited in-person gathering (pre-registration required).   Pastor Ruttan will take us through a final story in Acts and lands on Jesus' famous words: "It is more blessed to give than to receive." What does it actually mean to be blessed (it's more beautiful than you think), and why is it more blessed to give than to receive? How do Jesus' words enrich each of us (and the people around us) as people of refreshment?   We will sing hymns and praise songs, pray together (with the help of Henna Kim), and learn about a faith-at-home resource for the entirety of August.
