Day 5 – God is Bigger than our Loneliness

After Jesus came and performed incredible miracles like calming the storm, he was killed and died. Then 3 days later God brought him back to life to fulfil promises made about His Son. After 40 more days on earth where Jesus met with many more people he rose back into heaven to be with his father and left us the Holy Spirit to live in each of us as a guide for our daily lives.

FAITH OVER FEAR!

This is a virtual opportunity for you, your children, grandchildren or families to explore some resources available online for free to help you build a strong foundation in Christ and remember that GOD IS BIGGER.

Each day you will find a new story adapted from the Bible into video from different churches on YouTube. And a video of some of our favourite camp songs led by one of our incredible volunteers Melissa Maeck – Rolston, including actions! You’ll then find a discussion option as well as some activities to enjoy God’s word in fun ways, in your time. Lastly, you will also find a VBS song from our past camps. From July 6 -10th, each day a new slate of resources will be available! Feel free to join us each day or use the resources throughout the summer and do one per week! Whatever fits best with your family and your schedule.

Our hope is that this is a time for you to explore, experiment and enjoy God’s work, and it’s just a click away!

Conversation!

God is with us. When we feel lonely during COVID – 19 social isolation we get to remember that we aren’t alone, God is with us. A really good way to feel close to God is to come close to God in the Bible. Don’t have a Bible check out more Bible story videos on YouTube, use an online Bible or the Bible App for adults, or the Bible App for Kids. Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit so we are never alone and a good reminder is every time the wind blows or you light a candle or campfire, remember the Holy Spirit coming onto the disciples, and you.

TODAY’S ACTIVITY

Get Creative! Today grab your sidewalk caulk and create! Make an obstacle course on the sidewalk for walker-bys to enjoy, design elaborate pictures to share the light of Jesus, encourage all who see your driveway with positive messages of hope. Want to add a physical reminder of the Holy Spirit? Try your obstacle course as a three legged race, or wearing a backpack full of books, the weight is a reminder you are not alone.
