God Works In The Trenches – Esther, Part 4 (Sermon)
by Westminster
Life can feel like a war zone. It gets messy. Mistakes pile up. We try to improve a situation only to make it worse. Our shortsightedness results in long-term consequences. People collide, things break — including hearts.
When that happens, does God step back and say, “Oh wow, things are too messed up, best let them sort this one out on their own.” Of course not. Ours is the God of Angel Armies. If the earth is the Lord’s and everything in it (Psalm 24:1), God is not put off by the trenches in his own battle zone.
This sermon explores Esther 8. Esther’s people are scheduled for annihilation, but Mordechai comes up with a rescue plan. It’s going to get real really fast. But God continues to work with his invisible, providential hand. We explore what happens, and receive encouragement for the battles we all continue to face.
