Don’t give up
This week Pastor Ruttan brought the current teaching series about Maturity to a close. He took us through Philippians 4, and the importance of never giving up! This is easier said than done. That’s why a close reading of the text gives us guidance about how to persevere through adversity and uncertainty, and to do so in a way that keeps us focused on what is good in life. The sermon also summarized all we’ve learned so far.
Four things that he shared with us as ways of helping us to perservere;
- Stand firm in the Lord
- Pray
- Think Godly thoughts
- Rely on Christ’s strength, not ours, for contentment in his service
