In the shelter of the Most High
This week, Pastor Ruttan’s message was based on Psalm 91.
He confronted the idea that if we are faithful to God then he will protect us from all harm, including physical harm (which Psalm 91) seems to suggest. “no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.” There are certainly many benefits — both temporal and eternal — that God gives us, but we are not inoculated from hardship.
Pastor Ruttan focused on what it means to live “in the shadow of the Almighty”, he who is “my refuge and my fortress.
