Ritual or Relationship
What words do we associate with Jesus? Love, goodness, holiness, grace? What about “zeal”? Not only does it tell us something about Jesus, but it should tell us something about us if we want to be more like him.
You can’t force zeal. But it’s something that happens when you know the stakes are high.
In this sermon on John 2:13-25 about the cleansing of the Jerusalem Temple, we define zeal, and explore the importance of moving from a mentality of ‘ritual to relationship’ when it comes to our spiritual practices.
It’s called “Ritual or Relationship.”
