We love because He first loved us
This week was Westminster’s 58th anniversary, which we celebrated digitally.
Pastor Ruttan’s message was all above love. It’s a challenging time in our world. There is a lot of sickness and a lot of hurt. As we are reminded in 1 John 4:19: “We love because he first loved us.” We are also told that “perfect love drives out fear” (1 John 4:18).
One of our beloved members, Dorothy MacPherson who is a young 96 years of age, read our bible passage. This is a tradition of ours – to have a charter member of the congregation take part in the service. She does it beautifully.
The message provides three key thoughts for us to consider as we go about our day to day lives. “We love because He first loved us” 1 John 19
Take it to heart.
