OUR VISION
Alive with the Holy Spirit, we are a Christ-centred, inter-generational church and teaching centre which responds to and reaches an ever-changing and challenging world.
WHAT WE BASE OUR FAITH ON
But in the Christian faith, the word ‘belief’ also has the nuance of loyalty, courage and trust.
Therefore, our beliefs impact every aspect of our lives.
We stand alongside millions of others when we affirm historic faith statements like the Apostles’ Creed which serves as a kind of summary of key elements of the faith:
“I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.”
Our denomination, The Presbyterian Church in Canada, also has three “subordinate standards.” You can link to .pdf versions below:

To be biblically rooted in the great command and commission of Jesus: to fully love God and our neighbours, and to go and make disciples of all nations.
We believe in the risen Lord Jesus Christ and the Scriptures as the inspired word of God. We stand in active continuity with our Reformed Protestant heritage as expressed in documents such as the ‘Westminster Confession of Faith.
We are a part of a larger community of faith, a denomination called The Presbyterian Church in Canada. It is made up of about 1000 congregations nation-wide. We are also a part of something larger--the Reformed family of faith. Of the two billion plus Christians in the world, about 75 million in 107 countries are of this Reformed persuasion.
Through time, Reformed and Presbyterian Christians have emphasized different things. But there are some consistent themes that emerge: The centrality of Jesus Christ, the importance of the Bible, learning, simplicity, an ethical life, and doing everything for the glory of God.
Your value is received, not achieved.
