Sunday Service – September 6th

On Sunday, September 6th we gather virtually to worship at 10:01am via our YouTube Live Stream.  (You can find our live stream here) Pastor Ruttan has returned from his vacation and will lead us with a message inspired by calls for greater racial equality in our troubled world: "Race and the Kingdom of God." Sermon Notes are available here. We will sing (including Shout to the North, among others), pray (for many things, including return-to-school plans), and introduce a new vital verse for September. Sunday Service – September 27th

Sunday is Day 1 for a reason: It's when we worship God and re-centre our lives in him in a challenging time. We will sing, pray and grow together. James is clear: "Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says" (James 1:22). That's what Pastor Ruttan will explore in Part 2 of the Down-To-Earth series.  You will find sermon notes here. We will be blessed by another Praise Challenge submission, learn about our next faith-at-home focus (service), and have the Q & A forum after the service.  Pastor Ruttan will answer two submitted questions: There are numerous references to Judas Iscariot's betraying of Jesus and the devil entering into his heart. Was this simply a matter of Jesus revealing that he knew the future or was this like Job where God gave the devil permission to use Judas to bring about Jesus death? Should I forgive someone who doesn't think they need to be forgiven? Currently our services are online only.  You can access our live stream here. Hope you can join us!

Sunday Service – October 4th

"Do this in remembrance of me." This Sunday, October 4 at 10:01am via live-stream, we will worship God, pray, sing, be blessed with a new Praise Challenge entry, learn about the new faith-at-home focus, have Part 3 in the Down-to-Earth series by Pastor Ruttan (you can find Sermon Notes here),  and celebrate Communion together. Bring your bread and juice! We will do this earlier in the service than usual, right after the kids' time. Communion is when Christians take bread and juice (or wine) to remember and give thanks for Jesus' loving sacrifice for our sin, giving his life for ours. Parents are encouraged, as always, to discuss the meaning of the Sacrament before it happens. No matter what is happening in  the world, we exalt King Jesus, and call on his help and hope You can access our live stream here

REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY is always held the Sunday prior to November 11th (Remembrance Day). So this year it is on November 8th. We gather in gratitude, give thanks to God for his promise of peace, and honor the memory of those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice and who have served and died in the horrors of war. There will be the Act of Remembrance (including God Save The Queen, the laying of the wreath by a veteran, The Last Post, Reveille, and O Canada), In Flanders Fields (read by one of our young people), and Lighting the Candles of Remembrance and Hope (so be sure to have your tea lights with you!) Plus, some of our choir members will put together a virtual anthem of Let There Be Peace on Earth! Pastor Ruttan will continue teaching about James 4 with a message called "In but not of the world."  You can find sermon notes for this message here. It will be a special Sunday. Please join us for our live stream service.  You can find that here.
