This episode is the audio component of a talk by therapist Sarah Covey to pastors and elders of the presbytery of Barrie in May 2021. It’s a workshop called ‘Being Well When You’re Weary.’ It was designed for leaders in the church, but really is helpful to a much broader audience.

She talks about cultivating serenity, sabbath rest, and self-care.

Here is some information about Sarah Covey: She is the Clinical Director of A New Leaf, providing resources for growth. It is a full psychotherapy practice (with multiple therapists under Sarah’s supervision) and includes a wellness bookshop in the heart of Elmvale, Ontario. She has her Masters in Counseling Psychology, and a passion for teaching, speaking, leading workshops and classes, working with couples, and the interaction of Christian faith and psychology. She has been married for more than 20 years and is mom to four redheads (spanning in ages from 10 to 18). She says that if she goes a day without music or nature it doesn’t feel like a good day!”

We think you’ll find Sarah’s wisdom helpful.
