Whatever (Sermon)

Special guest speaker, Jeff Walther shared a sermon focused on Phillipians 4: 6-8. The theme was “whatever.” When we hear that word we can think of a dismissive ‘who cares’ attitude. But Paul uses it in several times in Philippians 4 to direct our attention to good and godly things. We should think about “whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely…” It is a message meant to encourage us to fill our minds with good things, which is especially important when there is so much negativity around us.
