A New Allegiance
Today’s sermon was part 2 of the Apprenticeship 2.0 Series, called “A New Allegiance”
Pastor Ruttan talked about how we need to apprentice under our Master. But who is an apprentice? Well, it’s someone who works or train under a master or highly knowledgeable individual.
Referencing Acts 2: 1 – 24 & 36 – 41, he shared four key points:
- Our faith is based on the resurrected Jesus.
- We repent of our old life and beliefs because we have adopted a new primary allegiance and loyalty to Jesus Christ.
- As a sign of that new allegiance we are baptized.
- God himself comes to dwell within us as a part of the body of Christ.
Have a listen – you will be glad you did. Going more deeply with our faith and apprenticing under Jesus is a worthy focus for our lives.
