Crossing the River Jordan
This week was Pentecost Sunday, and Cathy Clark lead our service. She based her message on Joshua 3:14-17 and Acts 2:1-4, with a reference also to Joshua 1:9. It is about the crossing over the River Jordan by the Israelites after their 40 years of wandering in the desert.
Using the 5 “W’s” – Who, What, Where, When & Why – Cathy took us on the journey with some visual aids and math questions to help us understand this event and what it entailed for Moses, Joshua and the people of Israel.
When we are called to cross the river at the end of the pandemic, the Ark of the Covenant will not not go before us. Instead, the Holy Spirit of God, poured out to us on the day of Pentecost will lead us forward.

We apologize for the short loss of video at the end of the message, but the audio is fine.
