It’s getting harder to know what’s real

Deep fake videos, selective news reporting, scammers, artificial intelligence. It’s getting harder to know what’s real. This touches many areas of our lives.
The Thessalonians were also unsure about what or who to trust. Had Jesus already returned? Not yet. Paul told them about some things which needed to happen first, like the rebellion and the appearance of the man of lawlessness.
This sermon looks at 2 Thessalonians 2 and highlights how Paul encouraged the Thessalonians to stand firm, not get duped, and to trust in God. It also helps us focus on some basics about what is real in our own time as we navigate increasingly confusing waters.
